For voters who would rather cast their ballot in person, Early Voting may offer the opportunity to avoid Election Day crowds and shorten wait times, Consequently, the Early Voting schedule has been expanded and all 11 locations will be open from July 17 - August 1. It is encouraged for voters to consider voting early, in an effort to make it easier to practice social distancing.

Yet another way to shorten the in-person voting experience is by updating one's address before going to the polls. Changes can be made at GoVoteTN , where voters may also enter a name change due to marriage or divorce.

Division of Elections will provide protection, both for voters and Poll Officials. Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance and exit of every polling location. Pens will be used once, or voters may use a personal pen to sign documents. Disposable marking implements will be provided to enable touchless voting at each ballot marking device. Poll Officials will all be equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE), hand sanitizer, and training in maintaining social distancing and protective protocols.
